JAMMU, Feb 28: An absconder, who was evading his arrest for last over one year, was arrested today by Police station Peermitha.
“Ansalam Singhu son of Rafiel Kalyan, resident of Christian Colony Jammu, was booked in a case FIR Number 11/2020 under Sections 341/323/201/34/IPC of Police Station Peermitha Jammu but he was absconding since the lodging of FIR,” a police spokesman said.
He said Jammu Police who was looking for the accused, generated local intelligence and on a tip off, dedicated police teams of police station Peermitha constituted under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu and led by SHO Police Station Peermitha Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq after strenuous efforts arrested the accused.
It is pertinent to mention that a warrant dated 10/02/2021 was also issued against the absconder by the Court. Finally, the accused was produced before the concerned court.
