JAMMU, Mar 2: An elderly man died under mysterious circumstances in Sainik Colony area here today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Amarjeet Singh (70), son of Uttam Singh, a resident of Sainik Colony District Jammu.
He was found unconscious in the washroom of his house today morning and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Sainik Colony Police in this regard.
