RAMBAN, Mar 3: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam today ordered suspension of two teachers of a Government school for their unauthorized absence from the School.
“Till pending enquiry, Nissar Ahmed (Teacher Government Primary School Seri) and Pritam Singh (Teacher UPS Koradera, presently attached in GPS Seri), are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” said the order issued by DC Ramban, while adding, that during the period of suspension, they shall be attached at their substantive places of posting.
The order further read: “The pay of Hafeezullah, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Ramban is hereby kept withheld, till further orders” as he misused his powers and tried to shield the erring teachers by way of attaching them on his own, without seeking proper approval from the competent authority.
“As per the report of CEO Ramban, the total enrolment of the GPS Seri is 10 only and there were already 3 teachers posted but despite that ZEO Ramban attached Pritam Singh in GPS Seri, which reflects gross violation of rules and misuse of official position by the ZEO Ramban,” the DC said in its order and constituted a committee comprising Principal GHSS Ramban and Headmaster GHS Ramban, and headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban to submit its comprehensive report, along with specific recommendations by or before 10-03-2022, in order to proceed further in the matter.
