POONCH, Mar 3: After Mushtaq Bukhari, several local leaders and activists from Seri Khawaja area of Surankote have resigned from National Conference.
Local prominent NC leader from Seri Khawaja, Sayed Waheed Hussain Shah today declared that he and many leaders of NC from his area resigned and extend support to senior NC leader Mushtaq Bukhari, Ex- MLA Surankote. He said many designated youth and senior leaders of National Conference from Seri Khawaja resigned from the basic membership of the party in support of Bukhari and they will join the Pahadi cause with him.
He claimed that senior leaders like- Mohd Shafi Block president Seri Khawaja, Mohd Din secretary, Yasmeen Akhter Sarpanch Seri Khawaja, Abdul Salam, Mohd Jamil Awan, Haji Mohd Munawar- Hari Budha, Mohd Akram Qurashi, Haji Sana Ullah, Sheikh Malhan, Haji Jamal Din, Sarfraz Hussain Shah, Ghulam Rasool, Farooq Ahmed khan, Haji Mohd Sharif Awan, Bashir Ahmed Lone, Bashir Ahmed Rather, Mohd Jamil Awan- all are delegates and other party leaders have resigned from the basic membership of the party. They all are with Mushtaq Bukhari and will support the party which assures them Pahadi status.
They alleged that NC had betrayed the Pahadi people despite getting their votes and has done nothing for the up-liftment of the Pahadis. This is the biggest set back to National Conference in Poonch district as in coming days many more Pahadi leaders will tender resignations, he added.
