JAMMU : About 600 devotees after performing ‘Thali Pujan’ at Chandi temple in Pacca Danga area here this morning left the city to pay obeisance to Goddess Chandi in Machail area of Paddar in Kishtwar district.
The devotees, along with the Chari Mubarak (holy mace of Lord Shiva), left the city around 8 AM for Chinote temple in Bhaderwah belt of the district, police said.
They left in a cavalcade of 26 vehicles under tight security arrangements, they said.
Tomorrow, the devotees will leave Bhaderwah for Kishtwar, from where Chari Mubarak will leave for Machail. From Kishtwar, the yatris will proceed for Atholi, Padder and after that they will reach Machail, the destination where they will perform Darshan.
Strict security arrangements have been made for the pilgrimage. (AGENCIES)
