Bovines smuggling bids foiled

RAMBAN, Mar 4: Ramban and Batote Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 58 cattle.
As per police sources, on specific inputs teams from Police Stations Ramban and Batote intercepted seven Kashmir bound vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03B-0924, JK21A-8257, JK14E-7094 driven by Munir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Chanderkot, JK02CU 1566, JK14H-1272, JK02CU-3258 driven by Latiff Hussain, son of Musharaf Ali of Sidhra District Jammu and JK21H-1781.
During checking, police team rescued 58 bovine animals from the vehicles, which were being transported to valley without any valid permission of competent authority.
