SRINAGAR, Aug 17: An important meeting of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Senior JCC leader and president EJAC, Abdul Qayoom Wani, in which all State and Provincial leaders participated.
The meeting was called by the president to discuss about the strategy for protest on August 22 and complete lock out on August 23 as already announced by JCC. The participants in the meeting urged upon the Government to solve the long pending demands of State Govt. and Public Sector Employees.
It was felt the State Government is neglecting the voice of JCC and State employees and thus forcing them to come on roads against anti-employees policy of the Government.
Wani while addressing the meeting made it clear that JCC will leave no stone unturned nor will it stop to protest on roads till all their pending demands including regularization of all daily wagers, casual labours, adhoc, consolidated, contractual and seasonal workers working in different departments, increase in retirement age by 2 years, removal of pay anomaly pending in all the Government Departments, regularization of EV’s after 7 years, be fulfilled.
