DODA, Mar 6: One person was killed while two others sustained injuries after a car plunged into deep gorge near Hambal area here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02Q-2484 was on its way from Hambal towards village Goha when the driver lost control over the car and it plunged into deep gorge near Hambal area, resulting into on the spot death of one persons and injuries to two others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
The injured persons were retrieved from the gorge and shifted to GMC Doda, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Parvinder Katoch, son of Jai Singh, a resident of village Hambal District Doda was handed over to family members for last rites.
The injured were identified as Nitu Ram, son of Shib Lal and Suresh Kumar, son of Parmanand, both residents of Village Hambal District Doda.
Doda Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
