JAMMU, Mar 6: Punjabi novel ‘Nari Te Nadi’ written by S. Bhupinder Singh Raina, senior fiction writer, was released here today at a function organized by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS) Jammu.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Baljit Kour, HoD, Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu presided over the function.
Papers on the life and literary contribution of Bhupinder Singh Raina were presented by Dr. Manjinder Singh, HoD, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Mandeep Kaur Bhamra, a prominent writer from Ludhiana and Prabhjot Kour, Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Baljit Kour complimented Bhupinder Singh Raina for making a big contribution in the field of fiction writing.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn said that creation of ‘Nari Te Nadi’ depicts the adjustments made by a woman and her flexibility in making adjustments.
S. Bhupinder Singh Raina also expressed his views on his journey in the field of literature.
Earlier, S. Ajit Singh Mastana, senior writer & president PSS, Srinagar welcomed the dignitaries.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, general secretary PLS-J and the programme ended with a vote of thanks by Jang S. Verman, press secretary.
