JAMMU, Mar 7: Shiv Sena J&K here today geared up its activities for the upcoming Assembly polls in J&K.
On the guidelines of party national secretary and MP, Anil Desai a meeting was held under the leadership of J&K Shiv Sena president, Manish Sahni wherein the potential candidates, district Shiv Sena presidents and J&K core committee members of the party were present to initiate the selection process for candidates.
The core committee directed the party cadre to start process of knowing the aspirations and problems being faced by the people of J&K and it asked the party cadre to visit every area and contact the people apprising them of policies and programmes of Shiv Sena.
Sahni directed all the potential candidates to go to the public and prepare the election vision ‘Jan Akanksha Patra’ according to basic public issues and needs.
He said that free electricity, water, better health and education facilities, employment etc would be among priorities of the party in upcoming elections.
The Shiv Sena leader also said that the present Government has miserably failed to provide basic amenities as well as promises made with the people.
