Samba police works out theft case

SAMBA, Mar 7: District police Samba under the supervision of SSP, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and recovered stolen items after arresting accused person.
Police said on March 4 a written complaint was lodged at PS Bari-Brahmana by Gagandeep Singh, son of Gulsharan Singh of Sainik Colony, Jammu regarding theft of 12 electric poles from Capital Eletech store Khoti Morh, Bari Brahmana.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 49/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started to work out the theft case.
During the course of investigation, a police team of PS Bari-Brahmana headed by SHO, PS Bari Brahmna Inspector, Rakesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bari-Brahmana, Ms. Shivali Kotwal had rounded up several suspects in the instant case. The suspect namely Pardeep son of Bhoore Singh of U.P, at present Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana has broke down and confessed his involvement in the theft case.
On his disclosure all the 12 stolen electric poles amounting to Rs 2.40 lakh approximately were recovered from Balol Nala near Quality Casting Factory. Further investigation is going on.
