MANSAR, Mar 8: Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson J&K BJP and former MLA Ramnagar has stressed for preserving and projecting Mansar as an exquisite tourist destination.
While addressing a series of booth level meetings at Battal, Sui, Mansar, Chani, Parthedi, he said that steps need to be taken despite sanctioning of major taskforce scheme to supply drinking water to the villages in and around Mansar.
Expressing concern that level of water in lake is shrinking day in and day out, he said: “We need to devise out a quick action plan to revive the water levels and conserve flora and fauna around the historical lake. Despite repeated demands and urgencies shown by various pressure groups, Master Plan of Mansar and Surinsar lakes is yet to be finalized and notified as yet. This is creating various local issues every now and then.”
Mr Pathania was accompanied by Showkat Choudhary, Kirpal Singh, Baldev Singh, Jagdish Chander, Tilak Raj, Amit Magotra (Sarpanches), Pawan Kumar, Mohini Devi, Shiv Ram (General Secretary Mandal), Makhan Lal (Vice President Mandal) and others.
