DODA, Mar 8: Bhalla Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen property within 24 hours.
As per police sources, on March 6 this year a complaint was lodged by a person namely Aarif Sajad (Site Incharge of M/s RK Gupta & Co) at Police Post Bhalla regarding the theft of roadside crash barriers which were installed at various places on Bhalla- Gajoth road by the above mentioned firm under the project of PMGYS JKRDA.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 27/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Bhalla led by PSI Ankush Sharma after getting some leads through reliable sources and on the basis of technical help of Cyber Cell Doda arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohammad Sharief Mir, son of Rehmatullah Mir of Shiva, Shewa District Doda.
On his disclosure, police team recovered and seized the stolen property i.e crash barriers within 24 hrs.
Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
The recovery and arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal, SDPO Bhaderwah Meer Ghafoor Ahmed, ASP Bhaderwah Mohammad Aftab Mir and SSP Doda Abdul Qyoom.
