Bakaya assures all facilities to migrant employees in Valley

SRINAGAR, June 6: Former Chief Secretary and MLC Vijay Bakaya has assured the Kashmiri Pandits that all steps will be taken for the development of Shaiva Devi Shrine at Akingam in South Kashmir district of Anantnag. The MLC who visited the shrine gave this assurance to the members of the KP community there.
Mr Bakaya later visited the migrant quarters at Vessu and assured all facilities to displaced employees putting up at the transit camp. Besides the opening of ATM he said the speeding up of construction work on more quarters at Vessu and other places will be taken up by him with concerned authorities.
The parents of the employees who met Mr Bakaya demanded that the each employee be allotted a separate quarter in Valley as they face difficulty in accommodating their families.
Meanwhile the Relief Commissioner R K Pandita assured the migrant employees that their problems will be redressed and all steps will be taken to improve the drinking water supply in migrant quarters.
The parents’ delegation who met Mr Bakaya included Sham Lal, Shiban Ji, Inder Krishan and others.
