JAMMU, Mar 9: Senior BJP leader and former minister, Bali Bhagat has demanded a comprehensive policy to regularize all the employees currently working under temporary status like daily wagers etc.
In a handout Bhagat demanded regularization of employees appointed on academic arrangements, daily wagers, casual labourers, need based etc by drafting a policy which ensures justice to them.
He said that Government at the Centre is concerned towards the welfare of people especially the youth and therefore the local Government under LG Manoj Sinha should also give priority to the youth by addressing all their issues and demands.
Bhagat claimed that unemployment has become a major issue in J&K and therefore the existing government recruitment agencies should advertise all the vacant posts available with them for fast track recruitment because the BJP Government at the Centre is resolute for giving employment to youths in J&K.
He urged upon LG administration to clear all MGNREGA liabilities of workers pending for the last over three years.
Demanding fast track recruitment in J&K, the BJP leader said that this will serve dual purpose as the same will address the problem of shortage of manpower and also tackle unemployment issue to a large extent.
