REASI, Mar 9: BJP senior leader and JMC Councilor, Sanjay Kumar Baru met District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi who is also Vice Chairperson of Shree Shiv Khori Shrine Board to discuss the various problems being faced by Yatries and Ponywalas at Shiv Khori Shrine and also demanded early compensation to the farmers of PMGSY roads in district Reasi.
Sanjay Baru also submitted details of documents/papers pertaining to PMGSY roads for compensations as per new compensation policy to DC Reasi, Babila Rakwal which were prepared by Revenue Department and authenticated by authorities of PMGSY Department.
Baru urged that compensation of various roads is pending for want of various committees to be formed under new Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act, 2013 which is now applicable after the abrogation of Article 370 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He further asserted that immediately necessary steps be taken to provide compensation of different roads where roads have been constructed and even blacktopped since long so that the beneficiaries may get relief against their lands and structures.
Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal assured to take compensation cases on priority.
