BANDIPORA, Mar 12: The Member Parliament (MP), Baramulla Lok Sabha Constituency, Mohammad Akbar Lone today chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at the Conference Hall of Mini- Secretariat here.
The meeting was attended by DDC Chairman Abdul Gani Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad, Vice Chairman Kounser Shafeeq, SSP Mohammad Zahid, ADDC Ali Afsar Khan, Joint Director Planning, ACD, BDCs and other PRI members.
The MP took a comprehensive review of various schemes being implemented by the RDD, PWD, PDD, PHE, Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Labour, Employment, Urban Development Department and other departments and asked the officers to work with dedication and missionary zeal and ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reach to the genuine beneficiaries in a time bound manner besides disseminating information about these schemes.
At the outset, the DC gave a detailed overview of the developmental scenario and progress achieved under different schemes/programmes, particularly in implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) through a PowerPoint Presentation.
Addressing the officers, the MP said that the aim of holding the DISHA meeting was to identify the developmental requirements and facilitate smooth implementation of govt schemes in the district.
He stressed on achievement of physical as well as financial progress and targets set under different schemes. He directed the concerned departments to mobilize their men and machinery for effective implementation of all schemes and coverage of cent percent eligible beneficiaries under all schemes and also added to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
He also asked officers to ensure the successful implementation of different self-employment schemes for providing job opportunities to the youth of the district.
