UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: The Mission Shakti along with Bikers Brotherhood Motorcycle Club, in collaboration with Tourism Department of Jammu, organised a bike rally with the theme of Break The Bias and tagline Mission Shakti Empowering The Women.
Preeti Choudhary, Convener of Mission Shakti and J&K’s first female professional biker, led the rally in which 50 bikers participated and out of them 20 girls drove Royal Enfield.
The rally started from Padma Shree Padma Sachdev PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu and proceeded to Manwal via Surinsar, Mansar and culminated at Devi Bhagwati temple, Babore (Manwal).
During Heritage walk, they visited the Bhagwati Temple and Kaldera temple monuments which have great historical and archaeological importance. The rally was received at Manwal by the noted archaeologist and Co- Convenor , INTACH J&K Chapter Udhampur, Anil Paba and well known poet & writer, Ashok Sharma. Anil Paba also replied to the queries of the bikers regarding the Babore complex of temples.
The rally was organised to demonstrate women empowerment on the one hand and to make them aware about our rich heritage sites. The officers from the Tourism Department and ASI were also present on the occasion.
