JAMMU, Mar 12: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested a juvenile for raping a minor girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man hailing from Ramnagar with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that a youth entered into his rented accommodation at Nanak Nagar and raped her minor daughter. After committing the offence, the accused fled away from the spot.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 54/2022 under section 452 and 376 IPC 3/4 Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma arrested the juvenile.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
