SRINAGAR, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (JKPYCC) office bearers took stock of the problems being faced by the party members. The meeting was chaired by Uday Bhanu Chib, president JKPYC.
While addressing the party cadre during the meeting, Uday Bhanu stressed upon the dire need to strengthen the Congress party at the grass roots level. Accusing the BJP Govt at the Centre of pursuing anti-youth policies, the senior JKPYCC leader asked the youth cadre to become proactive and remain present among the common people in order to be abreast with their problems and issues. He said that he is aware of the security problems of the cadre especially in the valley but impressed upon the party workers and activists that braving all odds they will have to make the people aware about the anti-people policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party that has brought them nothing but miseries.
Highlighting the alleged failures of the Union Govt on all fronts, Chib said that it is because of the anti-people policies of the BJP Government that people continue to suffer amid the ongoing pandemic with new woes getting added to their miseries every passing day. He said that Congress being more than 70 years old party stands committed to address people’s issues on priority especially those pertaining to basic amenities and bringing this party to power for good governance is the only solution to get rid of the miseries surmounting the people.
He directed the JKPYCC workers and activists to reach out to the people in every nook and corner of this Union Territory and expose the misdeeds and mis-governance of the BJP Govt and its policies. Asserting that people are not at all happy because of rising inflation, price hike, unemployment and rampant corruption, he said that people should be made to realize that Congress party alone provide succour to them. He said that youth of J&K has become the worst sufferer post Articles 370 and 35A abrogation instead of getting benefitted as claimed by the BJP leaders. He said that people realize fully now that BJP Govt has degraded J&K and its people by dividing it into two Union Territories and Congress will not relent till statehood is restored to J&K for which the Youth Congress cadre will have to put in their best efforts.
PYC leaders Wasim Ahmad, Amir Banday, Manpreet Singh, Obair Mushtaq, Latish Sharma and others were also present.
