SRINAGAR, June 7: The State Executive Committee headed by Chief Secretary Madhav Lal today released Rs 5.5 crore out of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) in favour of Financial Commissioner, Revenue for its further placement at the disposal of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and Jammu.
The funds have been released as part of the relief to the affected families and for temporary restoration of public utilities and other non residential infrastructure damaged due to cyclonic wind storm that hit the State in March this year.
The Executive Committee has directed to further assess and recommend the relief following norms of assistance from the State Disaster Response Fund besides submitting utilization certificates of released funds.
