JAMMU, Aug 20: State president, Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan has demanded immediate release of arrested innocent persons during recent Jammu bandh without registering criminal case against them and time bound compensation for the victims of Kishtwar violence.
He demanded further strengthening of VDCs with sophisticated weapons and communication system to maintain peace and people’s confidence in remote areas.
Mahajan also demanded full compensation to affected persons of Kishtwar violence irrespective of their caste, creed and political affiliation so that peace can return to the area. Sena also demanded that every VDC member of Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar be confirmed besides handing over of erstwhile Doda district to Army as, it alleged that State police failed to protect the lives and properties of minority community there.
