Several activists join Cong

JAMMU, Mar 16: Several prominent people belonging to the Sikh, Christian and Muslim communities joined Congress, here today at PCC office Jammu in presence of Working president JKPCC Raman Bhalla , Tabish Patel – Incharge   Minority Department of JKPCC, Michael Wazir and others.
The  function was organized by Minority Deptt of PCC under the  leadership of  Gurdarshan Singh. Welcoming them into the party fold Bhalla  said that  people of Jammu and Kashmir were expressing their pain and anguish against the BJP Govt and its anti- minority polices. Their  induction in to the party would further strengthen the Congress party in the state.
He said that  the unprecedented price rise and record unemployment especially in Jammu and Kashmir,  the Modi Government has utterly failed to bring  the  prices under control. The common man is suffering due to unprecedented prices of all essential commodities and unreasonable taxes. The minorities are worst sufferers under BJP regime.
Bhalla said that constant price-hike, people in all parts of country were taking to streets to express their anger over the  increase of prices of essential commodities of life but this callous Government has not moved even an inch to address this burning issue and infect busy in poll campaigns least bothering about grievances of common man. It divided the country on communal line for vote bank politics.
The new entrants included Amrik Singh, Lakbir Singh, Amit Pal Singh, Mangat Singh, Mohd Fayaz, John Masih,  Amandeep Singh and Sangat Singh.
Speaking on the occasion  Tabish Patel said that minority communities always shown their faith  and loyalty towards the Congress party. He said Congress is the only party who can safeguard the minority rights.
