Committee constituted to examine feasibility of new Police Stations

JAMMU, Mar 20: Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the constitution of a Committee to examine the feasibility of having co-terminus jurisdiction of Revenue and Police units of newly created Police Stations and Police Posts of districts Srinagar and Budgam as well as districts Anantnag and Kulgam.
The order by Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, J&K Government, R.K Goyal mentioned that the Committee includes Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner (Concerned), SSP (Concerned) and representative from CID.
It further stated that the Committee shall also examine any other such issues in the Kashmir division and submit its report within a month.
