RAMBAN, Mar 20: Four houses were gutted in fire incident at village Pingloga of Ukhral in Tehsil Pogal Paristan here today.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a house probably due to short circuit and later spread to the adjoining three houses.
On getting information, a team from Police Post Ukhral rushed to the spot and started operation to douse the flames with the help of locals. After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control but till then the houses were completely gutted in the fire.
The owners of the houses were Harnam Singh, Ajaib Singh, Balwan Singh and Jai Singh, all residents of Pingloga Tehsil Pogal Paristan District Ramban.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Ukhral Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, “Relief material in the form of tents, utensils and blankets rushed to Pinglona, Ukhral, for the fire families. Relief cases shall be processed and expedited under SDRF norms by District Administration”, tweets Deputy Commissioner Ramban Masarat Islam.
