SAMBA, Mar 21: An elderly man was killed and another injured when a motorcycle collided with a truck at Main Chowk here, today.
The accident took place at 10 am this morning when two persons travelling on bike bearing Registration Number JK21G-6189 collided with truck bearing registration number PB07AL-1375 near the Main Chowk Samba resulting in the on spot death of the pillion rider and injuries to another. The injured was immediately rushed to District Hospital Samba for treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Chaggar Singh , 76, son of Chatar Sing of Rakh Amb Tali while the injured has been identified as Krishan Kumar, son Baburam of Karandi.
Samba police has seized the truck and registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
