NOPRUF organises signature campaign

JAMMU, Mar 22: National Old Pension Restoration United Front (NOPRUF) J&K here today organised a signature campaign at main gate of Jammu University and also at online mode for those who could not reach the venue.
The campaign was led by Mrignayani Slathia, women wing president of the Front along with Gulzabir Daing, J&K president of the Front.
The campaign was started to aware the employees about benefits of old pension scheme and drawbacks of the new pension scheme.
The employees of different departments participated in the campaign and said that the government should restore the old age pension for all employees who were appointed in J&K on or after 2010 and in other parts of the country on or after 2004 otherwise the employees will come on roads to protest for restoration of old pension scheme.
They also said that those who were retired under new pension scheme get monthly pension less than Rs. 1500-2000 with which it is very difficult to meet daily needs in present time.
Dinesh Rajput, provincial president; Komal Bakshi, provincial joint secretary, Shafket Hussain, district joint secretary, Dinesh Vasishtha, Ramesh Bhat and others were also present on the occasion.
