3 killed, 4 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, Aug 22: Three persons were killed and four others injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
A police spokesman said a motorcycle JK02-AK/ 6397 hit and injured a pedestrian Sheikh Noor Illahi son of Ghulam Ahmad of Peerbagh at Peerbagh Chowk in Budgam district. He said the injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed his injuries.
A Motorcycle JK03B/5149 driven by a 16-year-old Nazim Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Rashid of Bonigam rammed into an electric pole at Nasu Badragund, Kulgam, resulting in his on spot death, the spokesman said.
A Motorcycle JK09/2629 driven by Bashir Ahmad Pir, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Qadirabad Hiri, Kupwara, hit and injured a pedestrian Wali Mohammad Mir of Braripora near Tutigund Handwara. The Motorcyclist was injured in the mishap. Both the injured were shifted to the District Hospital Handwara for treatment.
The spokesman said Wali Mohammad Mir was referred to Srinagar for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital.
A Scooter JK03C/1436 hit and injured as pedestrian Ghulam Nabi Mir, son of Abdul Aziz of Donipowa, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Ford Figo car JK01T/3138 hit and injured a pedestrian Irshad Ali Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad of Nadirgund at Peerbagh Chowk, Budgam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.
A Maruti car JK05A/6399 hit and injured Samad Dentoo resident of Kawari at Kawari, Kupwara, in the jurisdiction of police post Drugmulla. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
