DODA, Mar 24: Assar Police arrested two persons along with huge quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Thathri laid a naka near Assar and intercepted a Bolero bearing registration number JK02CS 7698.
During checking, police team recovered 36 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver and his associate.
The arrested persons were identified as Manjeet Kumar, son of Hans Raj of Dranga Bhaderwah and Ganesh Kumar, son of late Krishan Lal of Dhanwa Pooni District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 7/2022 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Thathri Inspector Bhovinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP DAR Doda Shoket Ali.
