LJRP demands waiving off pending power bills

JAMMU, Mar 24: Lok Janshakti Ramvilas Party (LJRP) here today demanded complete waive off of all pending electricity bills.
Addressing a gathering at Samba, LJRP J&K president, Rafiq Malik said from the last two years the poor sections of the society are not able to pay electricity bills due to lockdown triggered by COVID-19 pandemic and the pendency has reached lakhs of rupees, which a normal person is unable to pay.
He said that the LG led administration must take the step as welfare measure to waive off all the pending electricity bills so that the people may get some relief else LJRP will launch an agitation.
Malik further said that J&K LJRP leadership will talk to its national president, Chirag Paswan to ensure that issues of J&K are raised in Parliament.
Neelam, LJRP provincial president of Mahilla Wing Jammu; Kamlesh, district Rural president; Varun Bali, State senior vice president; Mulkh Raj and Sanju Bhagat, State secretaries; Mahraj Krishan Bhat, State president Migrant Cell and others were also present on the occasion.
