Speaker suspends 10 AP MPs for disrupting LS

NEW DELHI :  Speaker Meira Kumar today suspended 10 members from Andhra Pradesh for disrupting the Lok Sabha after  the government did not press for the motion for their  suspension to be put to vote of the House.
Ms Kumar invoked Rule 374(A) to order withdrawal of the  memebrs — Sarvashri A Sai Prathap, Nimalla Kristappa, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, L Rajagopal, Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy,  Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Aruna Kumar Vundavalli, Konakalla  Narayan Rao, G V Harsha Kumar and Niramalli Sivaprasad.
Naming the members, she said: “You may forthwith withdraw  from the precincts of the House.”
They have been making vociferous protests against the  decision to create a separate state of Telangana from Andhra  Pradesh ever since the Monsoon Session begin on August 5.
