PCC seizes 1750 Kg banned polythene

JAMMU, Mar 25: Continuing its anti- single use plastic campaign, a team of J&K Pollution Control Committee, District Office, Jammu South on Friday seized 1750 Kg banned polythene carry bags during a raid here in Narwal Fruit Complex/ Mandi.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of Member Secretary J&K PCC, K. Ramesh Kumar and Regional Director, Jammu Sat Paul, on the directions of the Chairperson, J&K PCC, Dr. Neelu Gera.
A team comprising Arshad Nazir Malik, Divisional Officer, Chander Singh Kotwal, JEE, Reena Charak, Field Inspector raided several shops in the Fruit Complex and seized 1750 KG banned polythene carry bags.
