Srinagar, Mar 26: The J&K Reconciliation Front (JKRF) today staged a protest urging the Government to ensure that Bitta Karate is hanged till death for killing Kashmiri pandits while stating that politicians for their vested interests never worked for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits.
In this regard, Dr Sandeep Mawa appeared in Partap Park, Press Enclave, and burnt the effigy of Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate presently in prison and demanded that he should be hanged for his crimes even as he said that both Kashmiri Muslims, as well as Pandits, have been subjected to injustice.
“Kashmiri Muslims and Pandits have been subjected to injustice and while that’s the case, the New Delhi has no reason to shy away from ordering a probe to ascertain who was responsible for killing pandits and ensuring that those responsible are brought to book,” Dr Mawa said.
“It is the BJP’s Government and now the time has come for the fact-finding panel to be set up to ascertain what happened to Kashmiri pandits. If the Government can order a CBI probe on corruption allegation levelled by the former Governor Satya Pal Malik, why not probe exodus of Kashmiri Pandits,” he said.
He said that Bitta Karate has admitted on record that he has killed Kashmiri Pandits and the Government should take cognizance of the same and deliver justice.
“I am been saying that Kashmiri Muslims who are innocents should also get justice. If it was the collective conscience for Afzal Guru why not for Bitta Karate too and proving that by hanging him,” he said.
