Field Publicity Deptt organizes seminar

Winner being felicitated during a seminar organized by Department of Field Publicity at Udhampur.

UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: Department of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a seminar based on Nirmal Bharat Abhyan-II, Total Sanitation, National Integration and Communal Harmony in the premises of ‘NITL’ Higher Secondary School, here today.
In this programme Akhilesh Gupta of Class 9th, Abhinandan, Arjun, Gourav of class 10th, Iffat Naaz Tak and Sapana Atri of class 11th, Aneesha Mary Thomas of class 12th respectively spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, the programme began with the lightning of the traditional lamp by Ajay Gupta, Principal of the host School.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Gupta said that today the world population is approximately seven billion; out of these seven billion more than one billion people defecate in the open which is a great threat not only to the man kind but to whole of the entire environment and it is our prime duty to work for total sanitation.
Artists Vishav Nath and party from culture and Drama Division presented the colorful programme.
Gurnam Singh from Field Publicity Department gave away the prizes to the speakers.
Pooja Mahajan was the stage secretary, while prominent prominent among others who attended the programme were Anamika Gupta, Prabhunandan Singh, Nisha Wani Khan, Bharti Sharma and Sham Kumar.
