UDHAMPUR, Mar 28: A young girl died while the boy accompanying her sustained injuries when the car, they were travelling in, turned turtle on the Darsoo Dhar road at Doodher Nallah, here today.
According to the reports, the car bearing registration number JK14D-3719 was on its way from Mansar to Udhampur when it met with the accident near Doodher Nallah. Locals took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared the girl as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Sonika Devi (20), daughter of Gyan Sharma of Nallah, Burmeen, Ramnagar. The injured youth, who had identified himself as Makhan Lal, fled from the hospital because of unknown reasons.
Udhampur Police has registered the case and started investigation.
