RAMBAN, Mar 29: Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsoo, Banihal and Jawahar Tunnel Police foiled major bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 828 cattle and seizing 46 vehicles.
As per police sources, on reliable information about bovines smuggling, teams from Police Station Batote, Police Station Chanderkote, Police Station Ramban, Police Station Ramsoo, Police Station Banihal and Police Post Jawahar Tunnel laid check points in their respective jurisdictions and intercepted 46 Kashmir bound vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 828 bovine animals and seized all the vehicles.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsoo and Banihal and investigation started.
