JAMMU, Mar 30: Maintaining that visible changes have taken place in Health sector in peripheral areas, J&K BJP secretary, Arvind Gupta said the credit for this goes to Lieutenant Governor, Advisor to LG and Additional Chief Secretary to Government Health & Medical Education Department who made enormous efforts in revamping and upgrading Health Services.
In a statement issued here, today he said in recent times, changes are seen at every level, be it in upgrading health infrastructure or services being provided to poor patients across Jammu Division. It indicates that J&K is scaling new heights in health sector, he added.
Arvind Gupta said that one such major change is establishment of emergency rooms in all District Hospitals, Sub District Hospitals and GHCs, which aim at stabilizing the patients at the point of emergency before referring it to Tertiary Care Centres. This has resulted in saving lot of precious lives. It has come to the fore that such emergency rooms have also been established at far flung areas like Mandi, Bani, Gool etc.
It is indeed good to mention that 46 emergency rooms have been established and made functional in span of just 30 days, he said.
Arvind said that another big achievement seen is establishment of Jammu Skill and Simulation Centre at Nagrota, its functioning and linking with the emergency room. At Skill and Simulation Lab Nagrota, training is provided to medical/paramedical staff on specially designed mannequins by master trainers. These trainings help in improving the skill of manpower working in emergency settings.
