PK holds rally, demands legislation on genocide

JAMMU, Mar 31: Reiterating their demand of punishing the perpetrators of genocide, bringing legislation on genocide and carving out a separate homeland within Kashmir Valley in accordance with Margdarshan resolution of 1991, Panun Kashmir (PK) held a massive rally at Durga Nagar today.
A large number of members of Kashmiri Pandit community and PK volunteers with banners and placards in their hands demanding justice against genocide and bringing to book the perpetrators of genocide. The protestors demanded from law makers , the Parliamentarians of India to immediately legislate and make relevant laws in India to punish genocide.
Dr Agnishekhar convener, PK and Dr Ajay Chrungoo its chairman, while addressing the protestors complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for appreciating the Kashmir Files film and his assertion that it speaks the truth , which has been suppressed for 30 long years.
The two leaders expressed the hope that GoI will not lose any time in settling the long time demand of the exiled Pandits by punishing the perpetrators of genocide and brining a law on genocide in Parliament to give justice to Kashmiri Pandits the victims of terrorism who are leading an exiled life for 32 years in their own country.
Strongly advocating for separate homeland within Valley for rehabilitation of exiled Pandits, Agnishekhar and Chrungoo said that this was the only solution to the problem. The two KP leaders reminded PM that time has come to dispense justice to the victims and punish the perpetrators of genocide. They referred to the urgent need of officially recognising genocide of Kashmiri Hindus and bringing in Indian legislation on genocide and atrocities prevention.
The two KP leaders said that PK has distributed a draft proposal of such an Act and the copy of the PK’s Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Bill -2019 has also been submitted to the PM as also to the members of the Parliament.
They also demanded constitution of a Commission of Enquiry to investigate the Kashmiri Hindu genocide and establishing Nuremberg type trials for punishing those responsible for genocide.
