14 bovines rescued, one arrested

JAMMU, Aug 24: Police today rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested one person.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police party from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK02AL-0639.
During checking, police recovered three bovine animals and arrested the smuggler, who has been identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Narwal Bala.
A case under FIR number 74/13 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, on specific information, police party from Gangyal Police Station laid a naka at Shiv Nagar, Sheora and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-3837.
During search, police recovered 11 bovine animals, while the driver of the truck fled away from spot.
A case under FIR number 115/13 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and manhunt launched to arrest the driver.
