KISHTWAR, Apr 1: Locals of Kishtwar today lodged a strong protest after an under-construction Shaheedi Smaarak at Kuleed Chowk was allegedly destroyed by Army.
The protest was held under the banner of Sanatan Dharam Sabha. Hundreds of people participated in the protest and raised slogans against authorities. Demonstrators were pacified only when DC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma reached the spot and assured that the Smaarak will be reconstructed.
Meanwhile, Snatan Dharam Sabha has threatened to give call for Kishtwar Bandh if administration fails to fulfill the commitment.
