DLSA organizes awareness camps

JAMMU, Aug 24: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with an NGO organized various awareness camps in relation to women and children in need of care and protection.
A team of Advocates, para legal volunteers and staff of DLSA visited SOS Home, Gole Gujral, Neha Ghar and Home for Old Age persons and identified the women and destitutes, who required assistance for overcoming social backwardness.
Legal awareness programme on protection of women from domestic violence act belonging to various categories was conducted in Panchayat Ghar, Gole Gujral.
An awareness camp relating to working women in organized and un-organised sector was also organized in skill development training centre, cutting and tailoring sponsored by JUDA, Government of India in New Plot.
The awareness camps were held under the supervision of Kartar Singh, Principal, District and Session Judge.
