Delegation meets Chief Secretary

JAMMU, Apr 2: A delegation of National Old Pension Restoration United Front (NOPRUF) J&K met Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta and submitted a memorandum demanding restoration of old pension scheme.
The delegation comprised of Rajesh Kumar Sharma, J&K general secretary of the Front; Varinder Singh, Dinesh Vasishta, Raman Sharma, Deep Singh, Co-convenor Sanskriti Cell of BJP J&K, Sumit Sharma and others.
Members of the delegation said that it is very difficult for the employees retired under New Pension Scheme (NPS) to meet daily needs at present as those who were retired under NPS get a monthly pension less than Rs. 2000.
The delegation said that employees are the backbone of administration and all Government organizations, different departments and trade unions of J&K support the demand of the Front.
The Chief Secretary assured the delegation that their demand will be brought into the notice of higher authorities very soon.
