Two killed in Doda mishap

DODA, Apr 2: Two persons were killed and one sustained injuries after a mini-bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge near Karmail area of Assar today.
As per police sources, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02U-8951 rolled down into deep gorge near Karmail area of Assar, resulting into serious injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Assar, where doctors declared two injured persons as brought dead. Later, one injured who sustained injuries was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
The deceased were identified as Majid Hussain, son of Mohammad Ashraf Lone, a resident of Malnie Bhalla and Ranjeet Kumar, son of Bal Krishan, a resident of Seri Bhalla, whereas the injured was identified as Mudassar Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Seri Bhalla.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
