The leaders of the JKNPF were addressing a large gathering of party workers on the occasion of a party convention which also witnessed a mass joining of over 1000 workers.
JKNPF president Sheikh Muzaffar while speaking on the occasion said that the party does not believe in family rule while underlining that the party does not have any political background.
“Those who are talking of 370 actually ensured that the Article 370 is abrogated and now when that is done, they are now trying to dig up the old graves and are trying befool people,” he said.
He said that if the commoners are asked about Article 370, 35-A, “they do not know because they are not bothered about it; they want the resolution of their problems and nothing else.”
He said that today’s mass joining is an example of how people are fed up with the family Raj. “The people who believed in politics of making their lives prosperous and miserable for the common masses have no space in today’s world,” he said.
He said that the people of JK are well aware of these things now and that they cannot be hoodwinked by family Raj and fake promises.
“People across J&K affiliated with such family Raj politics are coming forward to join hands with our party but we rejected them because these are the ones who believed in separatist ideology and instigated people against good governance,” he said.
JKNPF president however said that the party leadership will take a final call for their inclusion in the party.
Notably, despite being the first day of Ramadan, the drive saw handsome participation from people from all walks of life working for ensuring a new political beginning in Kashmir.
The newcomers joined the party in presence of party patron Sanjay Kumar and president Sheikh Muzaffar even as the party said that some reputed figures of Kashmir, elected representatives and activists also joined the party.
The party patron Sanjay Kumar said that the motive of the party is to work for the future of Kashmir- a future where every individual can feel safe in their place, can think about a bright future, and new beginnings.
“We believe in peace, development, prosperity and don’t want to hoodwink people by false promises and hopes. We can’t put them in the dark. Our party believes in showing the path where everyone can envision a peaceful Kashmir,” Kumar added.
Others present on the occasion included Manoj Tandan, a Kashmiri Hindu, who also joined the party along with the hundreds of youth from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Mufti Nisar and Qari Ashraf.
