JAMMU, Apr 3: Lok Janshakti Ramvilas Party today said that the present Government is ignoring the voice of the poor people and only appeasing the influential.
Addressing a gathering in Dansal, Rafiq Malik State President Lok Janshakti Ramvilas Party said that the present regime is only busy in launching new schemes but in reality the poor people are not getting the required water and electricity.
“After listening to the people we came to know that drinking water is not being supplied in different areas of Dansal on regular basis”, Malik said, adding that whenever people approach the Jal Shakti Department officers they gave hollow assurances.
“The officers told the poor to bring pipes so that they supply water to their households”, Malik said, adding that poor people are not able to pay their hefty electricity bills and Government must should waive off the electricity bills of the poor people and start a new smart metering system.
Malik also raised the issue of recent murder in the area and assured the people to take up the issue with the IGP Jammu.
Mulkh Raj State Secretary, Sanju Bhagat State Secretary, MK Bhat State President Migrant Cell, Shakeel District President Pulwama, Sonu Kumar Jammu West Block President, Nirmal District President Jammu and Neelam Jammu Province President Mahilla Wing were also present on the occasion.
