ReT Forum highlights demands, seeks release of salary

JAMMU, Aug 25: Monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma.
The meet was attended by all members of district and State apex bodies who urged the Government and Education Department to speed up the regularization process of EVs converted ReT teachers. The meet also highlighted the problems of female ReTs regularized under KGBV scheme who have not been paid their salary for the last one and half years.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma sought intervention of Government in release of salary of ReT teachers regularized under SSA.
Other demands highlighted during the meeting, included; inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority benefits, old pension scheme in favour of ReTs engaged before January 1, 2010, absorption of SSA (ReT regularized) posts under State Plan for smooth release of salary by sanctioning the posts and transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers and provision of SRO-43 for ReTs and EVs.
Others who spoke in the meeting, included Lekh Raj Parihar, Gurcharan Singh, Rajinder Singh, Sham Sharma, Jaiveer Singh, Hans Raj Sharma and  Mohan Lal.
