Srinagar, Apr 5: The selection committee of High Court has formed a panel to look into unfair means adopted by the candidates during the recently held examination for the posts of stenos and typists in the Court.
The committee formed has been tasked to look into the matter and submit a detailed report in this regard.
The High Court Steno Typist aspirants alleged discrepancies in the conduct of the exam while they also accused that unfair means were used by the candidates during the examination that was held on April 2.
The aspirants told Excelsior that in a recently held examination of steno typist conducted by High Court unfair means were employed by the students even as they claimed that the dictation which was to be written in the examination was already available with the aspirants.
“The dictation was in the hands of all batches outside the examination hall which they memorized, and hence restored to cheating. We saw many students writing the passage on papers and some of them even wrote it on their admit cards and then they entered into the examination centre,” the aspirants said
In a representation which has been given to the Principal Secretary as well as Judicial Registrar, the aspirants said that there are pieces of evidence viz videos and passage itself.
“We also reported the authorities about the cheating but they did not pay any heed to the requests of the aspirants instead they threatened us by asking that it’s just a formality exam and it’s our discretion, and no one can challenge us,” the aspirants alleged.
The aspirants said that the management of the examination by the HC has failed and it is requested to the higher authorities look into the matter and ensure that the said exam is cancelled.
