Absconder evading arrest since long nabbed

JAMMU, Apr 5: Akhnoor Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
The arrested accused was identified as Tariq Hussain Mughal, son of Mohammad Arif Mughal of village Gursai Tehsil Mendhar District Poonch.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 149/2009 under Sections 279, 337 and 338 RPC. After commission of crime, the accused left the country and went to Saudi Arabia and recently returned back to India. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Court of JMIC Akhnoor.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
It is pertinent to mention here that Akhnoor Police has initiated proceedings to seize the properties of absconders, who are evading their arrest since long.
