One more militant attack laced with strategy

Attacking with intent to kill , the recent incident of sheer cowardice but a blend of treachery and a peculiar strategy of targeting very carefully selected persons by militants in Kashmir , one brave heart of Central Reserve Police Force Vishal Kumar attained martyrdom while another personnel Niranjan Singh wounded who , however, is stated to be out of danger. Another carefully targeted person was a chemist – a Kashmiri Pandit – in Kashmir’s Shopian district who braving Pakistani sponsored terrorism and cleansing of the ethnic minority in 1990 had chosen to stay back in Kashmir. Another duly organised intentional attack was on two Bihari labourers Patlashwar Kumar and Joko Choudhry who were working at a construction site in Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Again, a driver Surrinder and the conductor Deeraj of a private vehicle in Pulwama carrying poultry material coming from Pathankot were fired at and seriously wounded. The commonality of all these satanically crafted armed attacks points towards targeting members of one specific community irrespective of whether local or non local.
Choosing crowded streets for carrying out such dastardly attacks is yet another diabolical design to cause collateral damage as a result of retaliation by the security forces so that more trouble could be fomented as an aftermath by inciting general public. However, extreme restraint exercised by the security forces nips in the bud such mechanisation of the militants ”fighting” an already lost battle but waiting only decidedly for their ultimate fate as is sure for those taking to the gun for spilling innocents’ blood. However, one more attack , death and spilling blood but one more ”condemnation” and another occasion of dishing out theories and “reasons” as also interpretations for such brutish attacks . The question , now must seriously be asked – “how long”.?
It is now time tested for the last three decades that whenever some murmurs are made from whatever quarters not even taking of some cogent steps to rehabilitate the Kashmiri Pandit community back in the Valley , elements from across the borders through misled and deluded militants succeed in creating such a situation which spreads panic and breeds speculations of different hues so that such processes do not take off at all. On the other hand, look towards the significant contribution of labourers from Bihar in developing infrastructure in Kashmir especially in construction activities, both private and otherwise. Their contribution towards agricultural activities , taking care of orchards etc too cannot be underestimated and targeting them purposely like the recent incident is to trigger panic like early last year so that work at sites comes to a grinding halt.
The Valley is abuzz with tourist inflow , tourism related activities and specific commercial activities in respect of arts and crafts are picking up which militants and their mentors from across the border want to disturb and strike at roots with intent to cause economic hardships to people. Since more progress , more normal activities, more tourism, more of schools and colleges activities , normal office working , no hartals etc are antidotes to terrorism and violent attacks , the enticed and confused militants who continue to be under an illusion , a mirage and are bewildered under will- o’- the wisp feel that their game is over hence indulging in such inhuman acts. We again impress upon the need to step up intelligence inputs so that these few enemies of peace and progress , of humanity and human values are apprehended right before they succeed in striking. It is , again the general public which are and must realise more seriously that terrorism is a cancer irrespective of any cause it may be pursuing to achieve by killing and destroying and totally against living a normal life by citizens , peace, progress and prosperity . Therefore, the need is for more activism and extending cooperation to the Police and other security agencies by the public in apprehending these bandits who are foes of peace and tranquillity.
