JAMMU, April 7: SDM Chowki Choura Virender Gupta along with Tehsildar Chowki Choura Dr Raman Jandyal today conducted a public darbar at Niabat Office, Hardu Malwara, the farthest shore of Jammu district.
PRI members and local public of villages Hardu Malwara, Rah and Salyote participated in the public darbar and raised several issues before the chair. The participants first of all yelled for supply of potable drinking water and demanded Dugwells at Hardu Malwara and Rah villages to cater to the demand of water during the coming season. They urged for immediate installation of hand-pumps at Ward Number 1 and 6 to meet the water crisis.
They also demanded blacktopping of several link-roads, presently in pitiable condition and drew the attention of the SDM towards construction of a culvert at link road near Surinder Singh House. They also laid stress on completion of pending works of NABARD Road from Samadhi to Hella Road to ensure smooth connectivity in the area, about which the Sub Divisional Magistrate sought a detailed report from PWD Department, its executing agency.
Besides this, the public raised the issue of low-voltage and frequent power cuts, for which they urged for augmentation of existing transformers, vis-a-vis establishment of a Grid Station either at Hardu Malwara or at Rah Village. The need for construction of a Check Dam at Rah Village and erection of an Irrigation Canal at village Hardu Malwara was also expressed.
Amongst others, the senior citizens urged for opening of a Bank Branch and an ATM in their area as they have to travel to Sunderbani in district Rajouri for availing various banking services.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate patiently listened to all the issues of the public and assured them to redress in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, various revenue services were provided on the spot, which includes issuance of EWS Certificates, Income Certificates, Mutation of Inheritance, copies of Jamabandies, copies of Khasra Girdawries and Land Passbooks.
